How Much Does a Yacht Charter Cost in Ibiza?

One of the first questions anyone asks when planning a boat day in Ibiza is: how much does it actually cost? The honest answer is that it depends on several factors — but this guide breaks down everything you need to know so you can plan your budget with confidence.

What affects the cost of a yacht charter in Ibiza?

1. The size and type of yacht

The biggest factor in the price of a yacht charter is the boat itself. A compact sports cruiser for 8 people will cost considerably less than a 62-foot luxury catamaran for 12. Motor yachts tend to be priced higher than sailing yachts of a similar size, reflecting their speed and fuel consumption.

As a general rule, the larger and more prestigious the yacht, the higher the charter fee.

2. Half day vs full day

Most yacht charters in Ibiza are offered on a half day or full day basis. A half day charter typically runs for 4-5 hours, while a full day charter lasts around 8 hours. Full day charters offer better value per hour and give you enough time to reach Formentera, explore multiple stops and enjoy a relaxed lunch at anchor.

3. High season vs low season

Ibiza has a clear high season — July and August — when demand for yacht charters peaks and prices are at their highest. June and September offer excellent conditions at slightly lower prices, while April, May and October are the most affordable months for a private charter.

4. Fuel

Fuel is almost always charged separately in Ibiza yacht charters. The cost depends on the engine size of the yacht, the distance covered and how long the engines run. Your charter company will give you an estimate before departure based on your chosen route.

5. Extras

Optional extras such as a private chef, bartender, hostess, DJ, or catering packages are charged on top of the base charter fee. These can add significantly to the total cost but also transform the experience.

What is typically included in the price?

When you charter a yacht with Wind3P, the following is always included:

  • Skipper and crew — professional, English-speaking
  • Soft drinks, water and beers throughout the day
  • Snacks, fruits and canapés
  • Two bottles of cava (one for half day charters)
  • Towels for all guests
  • Snorkelling equipment
  • Paddle board
  • Private transfer from your accommodation to the marina
  • Port expenses and final cleaning

What is not included: fuel, gratuities, and optional extras.

How much deposit do you need to book?

A deposit of the 50% is required to secure your booking. This is payable by bank transfer, credit card or cash if you are booking in person in Ibiza. The remaining balance, along with the fuel cost, is paid on the morning of the charter.

Is a yacht charter in Ibiza worth it?

For a group of 8-12 people splitting the cost, a private yacht charter in Ibiza works out at a surprisingly reasonable price per person — especially compared to booking multiple ferry tickets, hiring sun loungers at a beach club and paying for restaurants. And the experience of having your own private boat, anchoring wherever you choose and swimming in waters you can only reach by sea, is something no land-based holiday can replicate.

How to get the best value

  • Book early — the best yachts fill up quickly in July and August. Booking in advance secures your preferred dates and sometimes better rates.
  • Choose June or September — the weather is excellent, the sea is warm and the prices are lower than peak season.
  • Go full day — the cost per hour is lower and you get to see so much more.
  • Split the cost — a private charter for a group of 10-12 works out extremely well per person.
